300 Hour REbalance Body Psychotherapy + Yoga Teacher Training

With Senior Yoga Teacher + Body Psychotherapist Sandra Robinson
  • Do you want to deepen your embodied understanding of yoga and the mind–body process?
  • Do you want to explore movement, sensation and relational dynamics through a body psychotherapy lens?
  • Do you want to refine your capacity to hold space with clarity, depth and grounded presence?
  • Do you want to strengthen your internal referencing and confidence as a practitioner or teacher?

Whether you're already teaching, working therapeutically, or drawn to somatic exploration for your own development, if any of these questions resonate, this training may be the next step for you.
The REbalance 300-hour training brings together contemporary Body Psychotherapy principles with embodied yoga and movement inquiry. It is a highly experiential programme based on the understanding that deeper clarity, regulation, and presence arise from lived, embodied experience rather than from theory alone.

The training unfolds in person across eight spacious modules over two to three years, offering time between modules for integration, practice and personal process.

Modules may be taken individually or as part of the full 300-hour pathway, allowing each practitioner to engage at the depth and pace that feels right for them.

Teacher Training Programme

 This programme intends to explore:
  • How to sense, track and understand experience through the body: sensations, feeling states, emotions, instincts and narrative.
  • How to recognise protective patterns, defensive organisation and somatic holding.
  • How to develop relational presence and the capacity to hold space with clarity, steadiness and internal coherence.
  • How to work with nervous system states and regulation in an embodied, practical way.
  • How to perceive and respond to what arises in the field — individually and collectively — with sensitivity and grounded awareness.
  • How to refine internal referencing, pacing and energetic boundaries within practice and in relational dynamics.
  • How to cultivate embodied communication, attunement and the ability to stay connected while working with complexity.
  • How to integrate the foundational body psychotherapeutic skills of centering, grounding, boundaries, containment and positioning into one’s practice and professional work.

Explore, Connect, Discover

This training offers space to slow down, sense more deeply and meet yourself with clarity and honesty. It supports deepening embodied presence, allowing room for personal process, insight, and the capacity to stay connected with what arises.
It aims to cultivate curiosity about your own unfolding as well as the unfolding of the people you may work with in therapeutic, somatic or teaching contexts.

The 300-hour programme is intentionally limited to 6–8 participants, allowing each person the space, attention and feedback needed to develop depth, steadiness and coherence in their practice and professional work.

Breakdown (approximate):
  • Asana, embodied movement + pranayama exploration: 30%
  • Body psychotherapy principles, experiential practice, process work and applied methodology: 50%
  • Anatomy, physiology and nervous system literacy: 12%
  • Context, theory, integration and reflective practice: 8%

Format:
  • 8 in-person modules, each 6 days, 39 hours each module
  • Spacious intervals between modules for integration and personal process
  • 2–3 year pathway, with the option to take modules individually or as the full training
  • Optional non-contact hours for integration, reading, personal practice, reflection and embodiment-based exercises

Attendance:
  • A minimum of 80% attendance across the entire training is required for certification.
  • Because this is a deeply experiential, relationally based programme consistent presence is warmly encouraged.
  • Any missed hours should be communicated in advance where possible, and participants may be offered integration guidance depending on the material missed.

Competency & Integration
There are no formal examinations in this training. Instead, competency is seen as a natural emergence from participation, reflection, and embodied experience overtime.

Participants are gently supported to:
• Develop a grounded understanding of the core principles of Body
Psychotherapy as they relate to yoga
• Offer somatic-informed practices with sensitivity, care, and attunement during supervised practice sessions
• Cultivate self-awareness and reflective capacity, acknowledging their own process as part of their learning journey
• Contribute to a respectful, ethical, and supportive training environment

Together, these components form the basis for certification and reflect REbalance's ethos: learning as a relational, embodied, and integrative process.
